About The Greenhouse

I could fill this space with a third-person list of credentials and accomplishments—but where’s the fun in that? I don’t do boring; keeping the attention of 30+ kids regularly will train you to be fun and fast.

I’m Delana Green. Get it, “Green,” “Greenhouse”? My husband actually came up with the name during our 2021 rebrand, and nothing could have better fit a business all about growing young musicians.

I’m a musician, educator, mom of three, coffee lover, board game collector, and serial creator. For nearly fifteen years, I’ve helped kids fall in love with music, and of course, I fell even more in love with finding new ways to teach it. I still get goosebumps when a child lights up, realizing they can make music too.

Most days, you’ll find me surrounded by little learners, colorful instruments, and a cup of coffee that’s been microwaved three times (at least). Planning out or recording the next video, course, or podcast episode.

When I’m not teaching, I’m probably writing songs: usually while driving to pick up my kids from school (don’t ask me why creativity always strikes in traffic) or dreaming up my next big idea.

At home, there’s always music, laughter, and a good chance of a board game showdown (I may or may not get a little too competitive). I love to laugh, to learn, to have impromptu dance parties, and to bring music to life in ways that stick with kids long after they leave my studio.

Music has this incredible power to plant seeds of confidence, curiosity, and joy. And every day, I feel honored to tend that garden through Greenhouse Music.
